Day 1: Hoi An to Prao

Experience the back end of the Hai Van pass, riding through countryside roads and into remote mountain communities before arriving in Prao. Explore this off the beaten track hill tribe community – friendly locals and beautiful scenery are plentiful. 

Day 2: Prao to Hue
Day two starts with an early-morning local breakfast before we take a new section of the Ho Chi Minh Trail and then cut through unspoiled rainforest along the Lao border and over spectacular mountain passes. Enjoy a picnic lunch at an enticing, crystal clear waterfall, where you can cool off before we continue on our journey. We travel through the An Shau Valley, a famous battleground during the American war, before descending to Hue City in time for sunset over the Perfume River.

Day 3: City Tour in Hue
On day three we do a comprehensive motorbike tour of Hue. The tour visits the citadel, royal tombs while snaking through the back streets of Hue. A delicious vegetarian lunch prepared by Buddhist nuns is served at a local pagoda. After lunch we experience the rural surrounds of Hue stopping to see traditional handicrafts being made as well as visiting some US war sites.
Day 4: Hue to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass
Riding out off Hue and following a unique coastal route we stop for a special seafood lunch at a local beach. Dive into the pristine ocean water before we continue onto Hai Van Pass, the highest point on Highway 1. We ride on wide open roads, free from traffic and with unmatched scenery before reaching the famous China Beach. We stop for a cold drink at this recreational landmark before arriving in Hoi An.

DMZ Adventure Loop

Day 1: Hoi An to Prao

We drive to the remote mountain village of Prao, stopping at historic After refreshments, we ascend into the highlands through Co Tu minority towns, stop for a picnic lunch and swim in the idyylic mountain streams. We dine at a top local restaurant – a great experience by itself.

Day 2: Prao to Khe Sanh
Day two starts early with breakfast before embarking on a new section of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. We ride through pristine rainforest along the Lao border and over spectacular mountain passes, then stop for picnic lunch in a spectacular mountain waterfall, where you can cool off with a swim. Following this we travel through the A Shau Valley, a famous American War battleground.
After lunch we leave A Luoi, and follow the Ho Chi Minh Trail to Khe Sanh. We visit the Khe Sanh combat base and memorial and museum.

Day 3: Khe San to Hue via Vinh Moc Tunnels
Driving along Highway 9, we pass famous American war sites like the Rock Pile and Camp Carol, before crossing the former border between North and South Vietnam at the 17th parallel. We arrive at the Vinh Moc tunnels, where an entire village went underground in the 1960s to survive the bombing. After exploring the tunnels, we head to a local beach where you can cool off with a swim.
After lunch we drive along the coastline and arrive in Hue late afternoon.

Day 4: Hue to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass
Riding out off Hue we follow a distinctive coastal route and stop for a delicious seafood lunch at a local beach. We swim here before continuing onto Hai Van Pass, the highest point on Highway 1. We ride on big open windy roads where traffic is rare and along some of the most scenic landscape in Vietnam. We stop at famous China Beach for a cold drink before arriving in Hoi An.

Hue Adventure Loop

Day 1: Hoi An to Prao

We ride into the mountains behind the Hai Van Pass, following rural roads through remote mountain communities before arriving in Prao. Spend the afternoon exploring this unique and unspoiled mountain community. No other tours are savvy to this special experience.

Day 2: Prao to Hue
Day two starts with an early-morning local breakfast before we take a new section of the Ho Chi Minh Trail and cut through pristine rainforest along the Lao border and over spectacular mountain passes. Stopping for a picnic lunch at a spectacular mountain waterfall, you can cool off with a swim before we continue the journey. We travel through the A Shau Valley, famous throughout the American War, before descending to Hue City as the sun sets over the Perfume River.

Day 3: Hue to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass
On our last day, we visit Hue’s historic monuments before riding back to Hoi An following a unique coastal route before we travel over the famous Hai Van Pass, the highest point on Highway 1 and onto Hoi An along China Beach.

We walk up Marble Mountain into the rappelling area, which takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

The first rappel is a short walk from the practice area and enjoys a fantastic view of the ocean. This 22 meter line has great exposure, fantastic scenery and makes you feel like you are much higher than you actually are.
Then we do our final rappel; a monster 50 meter drop into a gaping hole so deep and dark that you can’t see the bottom. This fantastic cave rappel drops right out of the jungle down into a temple chamber. Get ready for a full on Tomb Raider experience!

Prao Hill Tribe Loop

Get away from Hoi An for a night and discover a completely different side of Vietnam.

We travel to the remote mountain village of Ba Hom, driving over floating bridges, winding through country laneways and stopping at historic American war sites. prao_kidsAfter morning tea, we drive part of the original Ho Chi Minh Trail, stopping for a picnic lunch at a mountain waterfall. We trek through small hamlets to a hot springs, then stay in a traditional Co Tu hill-tribe village, enjoying a dinner cooked by a local family.

On day two,  we descend from the mountains through rural villages towards Danang,  then cruise over the top of Monkey Mountain, at over 550m high, before following the famous China Beach into Hoi An. ( Approx. 300km )
